How we read it

Not pore-clogging

Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.

Is Macadamia Oil comedogenic?

No. Macadamia Oil isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.

Why we read it this way

Macadamia oil is high in oleic and palmitoleic acid and absorbs unusually fast for a rich oil. Our references do not flag it, so we do not either.

The nuance

It is still a heavy oil by feel, and oleic-rich oils suit some acne-prone skin much better than others. If you react to oils generally, patch-test this one rather than assuming.

One ingredient rarely tells the whole story. Run the whole label and see everything in the product at once.
