How we read it
Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.
Is Rosehip Oil comedogenic?
No. Rosehip Oil isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.
Why we read it this way
Rosehip oil is one of the most linoleic-acid-rich oils in common use, which is the profile most often tolerated on acne-prone skin. It does not appear on the pore-clogging references we curate against.
It oxidizes fast. A rancid rosehip oil smells sharp and is much more likely to cause trouble than a fresh one, so buy small and keep it cool and dark.
