How we read it
Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.
Is Murumuru Butter comedogenic?
No. Murumuru Butter isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.
Why we read it this way
Murumuru butter is a hard palm-seed butter used for barrier support and slip. It is rich and solid at room temperature, but it does not appear on the pore-clogging references we curate against, so we do not flag it.
It is high in lauric acid, the fatty acid that makes coconut oil a common problem, so some people do react to it. Our references do not flag it, but it is one to watch if you break out easily.
