How we read it
Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.
Is Hemp Seed Oil comedogenic?
No. Hemp Seed Oil isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.
Why we read it this way
Hemp seed oil is a light, green-tinted oil pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant, used to soften skin without leaving a heavy film. It is rich in linoleic and linolenic acids, which keeps it thin and quick to absorb. We read it as not pore-clogging.
The nuance
Labels list it as Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, which leads people to confuse it with CBD. The seed oil is a plain emollient, and CBD products are often built on a different carrier oil that gets its own reading.
Where it shows up
Lightweight face oils and serums, moisturizers aimed at oily or combination skin, body lotions, bar soaps and conditioning hair products.
