How we read it
Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.
Is Peach Kernel Oil comedogenic?
No. Peach Kernel Oil isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.
Why we read it this way
Peach kernel oil is a pale, light oil from the kernel inside the peach pit, used for slip in massage and facial oils. The oil is rich in oleic acid and spreads easily. We read it as not pore-clogging.
The nuance
It is a close relative of apricot kernel oil and sweet almond oil, both of which we do flag, and the three are easy to mix up. On a label peach is Prunus Persica and apricot is Prunus Armeniaca.
Where it shows up
Massage oils, facial oils, lip balms and body lotions, and as a carrier oil in aromatherapy blends.
