How we read it
Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.
Is Cucumber Extract comedogenic?
No. Cucumber Extract isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.
Why we read it this way
Cucumber extract is a water-based botanical used for a light soothing and hydrating effect. It is mostly water and sugars with no meaningful lipid content, and it does not turn up on the pore-clogging lists we work from.
Botanical extracts are a common cause of irritation even when they do not clog. Stinging or redness after using one is a different reaction from a breakout, and worth telling apart.
One ingredient rarely tells the whole story. Run the whole label and see everything in the product at once.
