How we read it
Not a pore-clogger. Considered safe for acne-prone skin.
Is Chamomile Extract comedogenic?
No. Chamomile Extract isn't considered pore-clogging, and we read it as safe to use on acne-prone skin. That doesn't make it right for everyone, but congestion isn't the thing to watch for with it.
Why we read it this way
Chamomile extract is drawn from chamomile flower heads and added to a formula for its calming, comforting effect on reactive skin. It usually arrives in water, glycerin or a glycol and brings next to no oil with it. We read it as not pore-clogging.
The nuance
Chamomile belongs to the daisy family, and people who react to ragweed or related plants sometimes react to it on skin too. That is an allergy question, separate from pore-clogging, and it does not change how we read the ingredient.
Where it shows up
It turns up in calming toners, facial mists, eye creams, baby lotions, after-sun gels and cleansers made for sensitive skin.
